Before we begin

A few thoughtful answers.

From the first idea to the finished frame.

Can we do this years after our wedding?

Yes. This experience is made for already-married couples. You can celebrate an anniversary, mark a new chapter, or simply create the wedding portrait you have always wanted. There is no required marriage length.

Do we need a wedding gown?

No. Your own gown, a newly chosen gown, or other formal attire can all work. The clothing should support the setting and feel like you. Gown sourcing for session use is available by arrangement, subject to fit, availability, and a confirmed quote.

What exactly is the finished artwork?

Your selected portrait is artistically refined and digitally painted, printed on canvas, enhanced with acrylic texture, and finished with hand-applied color embellishments. It is embellished mixed-media portrait art, with physical texture and brushstroke character.

Is the brushstroke texture physically on the canvas?

Yes. After digital painting and canvas printing, the Masterpiece finish adds physical acrylic texture and hand-applied color embellishments. You can see the texture stage in the process film on the Artwork page.

Does one concept mean only one photograph?

No. We may explore several poses and photographs as we develop your statement artwork. The commission has one main artistic concept, one agreed location, and one finished framed centerpiece as its destination.

What is included at the starting investment?

The creative commission and one framed 24 × 36-inch canvas with Masterpiece finishing, from the agreed signature frame selection. That includes wall planning, wardrobe guidance, the portrait session, artistic refinement, finishing, approval, and framing coordination. Outside frame dimensions will be larger.

Can I choose a larger artwork?

Yes. Larger canvas sizes, special framing, and other enhancements are quoted during planning. The room visualizations show varied sizes and frames; a sofa-width artwork may exceed the starting size.

What if we have not chosen a wall?

That is a good starting point for the consultation. We consider the room, the distance you view it from, nearby furniture, and the palette. You do not need wall measurements or photographs to send an inquiry.

Can the finished artwork be ready for our anniversary?

Please tell us both the date you want to present the gift and any requested finished-artwork deadline. An invitation to create the portrait can be given before the portrait exists. Session, finishing, framing, and delivery timing are confirmed individually before you reserve.

Do we have to travel to a destination?

No. Destination travel is optional. Dwayne is based in Northern California and travels to selected cities for private commissions. We can plan a setting in your area; service availability, location, and dates are confirmed individually. See Service Areas or ask about your city.

Where will the portrait session take place?

We agree on one real location that supports your concept. Northern California is the home region; visiting markets are available by private commission or announced visiting dates. Site access, permissions, weather, and the practical production plan are reviewed before confirmation.

Do you photograph the wedding day?

The Marriage Portrait is a separate portrait commission for married couples. Ceremony and reception coverage are outside this experience.

How are delivery and installation arranged?

The written proposal sets out applicable taxes, shipping, delivery, and installation arrangements. These vary with the artwork and destination and are confirmed before you place a deposit. Installation is not automatically included.

Can I arrange a surprise gift?

Yes. You can begin with a private inquiry and choose a safe contact channel. Only the buyer is contacted. The gift can be an invitation to design the portrait together, so the recipient helps choose the wardrobe, concept, and session date.
