Yosemite & Sierra Foothills · Anniversary commissions
The years together.
Made into art.
For an anniversary, the landscape can express something enduring about the life you have made together. The portrait is created deliberately, with time to choose a setting that matters and a composition that belongs on your wall. There is no need to recreate a wedding-day schedule to create a meaningful wedding portrait now.

An invitation to create together
A meaningful gift, with room for both of you.
Give the invitation to make the artwork together if the anniversary arrives before a suitable session window. If you are hoping for a completed piece on a particular date, mention that early. A fixed gift deadline cannot be treated as proof that park access, photography, and finishing can all be completed in time.
You can wear your own gown, obtain one, request session-gown sourcing by arrangement, or choose other formal attire. Fit, availability, and any sourcing cost are confirmed before you reserve.
Your place in the picture
A landscape-led commission, carefully planned
A Yosemite concept and a foothill concept are different choices. A national-park setting requires review of the exact site and production activity; a foothill location can offer a more intimate landscape direction. We do not assume that a regional inquiry includes a park visit or that a familiar viewpoint is available for the proposed session.
Your residence and portrait setting are recorded separately. Tell us if you live in the foothills but want a Yosemite portrait, or prefer to remain closer to home. Current road access, seasonal restrictions, public use, equipment requirements, and permissions are reviewed before confirmation. An alternative date or setting may be needed; it is agreed with you rather than silently substituted.
Make room for the making
Your anniversary has a date.
Your artwork needs a plan.
The portrait session is only the beginning. Digital painting, hand embellishment, approval, and framing all follow. Start with your occasion now so we can review what is possible for your date.
If the celebration comes first, you can give the invitation to create the portrait together, with the finished artwork arriving later on an agreed timeline.

An optional addition to your commission
A personal gift,
just for them.
A private boudoir session offers another way to create a gift for your spouse. Available exclusively alongside a Marriage Portrait commission, with a private setting arranged in Northern California or your visiting city.
The session, presentation, and additional investment are discussed privately. If you are considering this for your wife, begin with an invitation she can choose to accept.

The Masterpiece option
Your marriage, finished in brushwork.
Choose the Masterpiece finish to make your gift a hand-embellished canvas. Digital painting, acrylic texture, and hand-applied color bring qualifying artwork sizes into their finished form. Classic photographic artwork is also available.

Planning your commission.
Sierra foothill residents and individually planned Yosemite-region scenic commissions
Your current home and the portrait setting are considered separately. One selected location is confirmed after access, production, wardrobe, and timing have been reviewed.
Tell us when you want to present the gift and, separately, whether you need the completed artwork by a particular date. No deadline is promised before review.
Does this page mean you have access to any Yosemite location?
No. Named settings are planning ideas. The precise location, activity, access, and applicable permissions must be reviewed before a commission is confirmed.
Can we choose a Sierra foothill setting instead of the park?
Yes. Your home region and session setting are separate choices. A suitable foothill location may better fit your comfort, schedule, and desired artwork.
Do we need a strenuous hike for a dramatic portrait?
No. We begin with your access needs and build a suitable concept. We do not presume strenuous travel or guarantee an iconic viewpoint.
