Santa Barbara · Anniversary commissions

The years together.
Made into art.

An anniversary portrait can become a quiet focal point in the home you share. It gives you the opportunity to choose the clothing, setting, and mood together, away from the demands of a wedding day. The final image is refined in your chosen Classic or qualifying Masterpiece finish, then framed for your chosen wall.

An invitation to create together

A meaningful gift, with room for both of you.

If the gift begins as a surprise, your spouse need not be committed to a particular gown or venue before hearing the idea. We can help you plan a thoughtful invitation, then shape the portrait together. Exact travel, session, and artwork completion dates are confirmed through the proposal.

You can wear your own gown, obtain one, request session-gown sourcing by arrangement, or choose other formal attire. Fit, availability, and any sourcing cost are confirmed before you reserve.

Your place in the picture

Architecture with a coastal sensibility

An architectural exterior or privately arranged garden can provide a formal setting with a restrained palette. The courthouse area is a possible visual reference, but access to a specific exterior, interior, or garden is never assumed. A coastal setting is a separate direction, selected only if it better supports your artwork.

Dwayne is based in Northern California and available in Santa Barbara by private commission or announced visiting dates. We review one exact location, including the applicable property or agency permissions, before confirming the session. Artist travel is quoted separately for the agreed itinerary; private venue fees and unusual requirements are disclosed in the complete proposal.

Make room for the making

Your anniversary has a date.
Your artwork needs a plan.

The portrait session is only the beginning. Digital painting, hand embellishment, approval, and framing all follow. Start with your occasion now so we can review what is possible for your date.

If the celebration comes first, you can give the invitation to create the portrait together, with the finished artwork arriving later on an agreed timeline.

An optional addition to your commission

A personal gift,
just for them.

A private boudoir session offers another way to create a gift for your spouse. Available exclusively alongside a Marriage Portrait commission, with a private setting arranged in Northern California or your visiting city.

The session, presentation, and additional investment are discussed privately. If you are considering this for your wife, begin with an invitation she can choose to accept.

The Masterpiece option

Your marriage, finished in brushwork.

Choose the Masterpiece finish to make your gift a hand-embellished canvas. Digital painting, acrylic texture, and hand-applied color bring qualifying artwork sizes into their finished form. Classic photographic artwork is also available.

For couples who call this area home

Planning your commission.

Santa Barbara, Montecito, and surrounding communities

Your current home and the portrait setting are considered separately. One selected location is confirmed after access, production, wardrobe, and timing have been reviewed.

Tell us when you want to present the gift and, separately, whether you need the completed artwork by a particular date. No deadline is promised before review.

Can we use the courthouse for our portrait?

We can explore a courthouse-area concept, but the exact area and planned activity require current review. Access to interiors or gardens is not promised by the starting commission.

Is this a courthouse wedding package?

No. It is a commissioned portrait experience for already-married couples, designed to produce one finished framed artwork.

Do you serve Montecito residents?

Yes, by private commission. Your residence is recorded separately from the session location, and the final proposal confirms the visit and production plan.
